Over the last 14 years I have seen SO MANY pH opposites - people with ideal pH who conceived opposites and people who had "bad" pH but had successes…both pink to blue and blue to pink (not to mention boy-girl twins!) that it has become difficult to believe in pH as a "magic bullet" for swaying. I got my 4th boy testing my pH 2-3 times a day, and with my pH in 4.5-5 range that never went up till after I was already pregnant. With my 5th baby, I never tested pH at all and got a girl!

pH testing just doesn't work in any reliable way. Testing pH does not tell anyone whose sway will succeed and whose will fail. It simply isn’t worth your time or mental energy. For pink swayers, obsessing over minor, meaningless fluctuations in pH levels contributes to the control freakishness that is so detrimental for girl sways. Blue swayers who test pH often end up overwhelmed and depressed when their pH is not what they think it “should” be (usually because they’re testing at the wrong time of the month, expecting pH that is unnaturally high, or using inaccurate methods) and this defeatist mindset is terrible for boys.

It is at your discretion if you want to try pH testing when trying to conceive (TTC), but I beg you, please don't get super hung up on it! It just doesn’t mean anything.

Before you proceed with pH testing, please read the following for a scientific investigation of why pH doesn't sway in the way the "old school" advice claims.
